As a congregation we want to grow both wider and deeper, meaning we want to grow numerically, but just as important, we want to grow deeper in our understanding and experience of God’s grace and love. To that end, we offer a number of classes and small groups for people to deepen their understanding of God through God’s Holy Word.

Sunday Mornings

Adult Education – Sundays at 9:15 am

Sundays – April 26 & May 3 at 9:15 am—Road To Wisdom Series (continued)

Our long-time member Dr Eric Larson is leading a series of discussion sessions on The Road to Wisdom: On Truth, Science, Faith and Trust, by Francis Collins.  This book has been described as  “a deeply thoughtful guidebook to get us beyond societal divisions and back to the sources of wisdom”.  Eric aims to lead a series of discussions about what Collins describes as the four core sources of judgement and clear thinking: truth, science, faith and trust. Collins emphasizes that “to move from our current divisiveness to an era of empathy and understanding it is essential for more of us to become comfortable having conversations with people having very different views”. The discussion series goals will be to share and listen to each other’s ideas using the book as a springboard for discussion.

April 26 we will discuss Chapter 5 (Trust) and May 3 we will discuss “Hope” (Chapter 6) and an overview of the entire book.
