Prayer Ministry

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The prayer ministry at First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach is a steadfast ministry and the congregation finds it a privilege to pray for each other, we pray for all of the people of Christ, we pray for the leadership of our country, and we pray for the world and for peace. We are nourished by our leadership and our Pastor to learn more about our Lord Jesus and enriched by the Holy Spirit so we are a community of faith that continues to reach out and grow. We have enthusiastic Bible studies which uplift our faith and challenge us in understanding the Old Testament Laws and the Grace of our Lord.

We serve each other in several ways: Stephen Ministries is a one on one caregiving ministry which has been a part of our congregation for 10 years. We are beginning a healing ministry and a new prayer chapel for individuals and small groups. We have a prayer chain and ministry for those who wish to prayed for communally and we have a confidential prayer cord for private prayer concerns. We have small groups who meet to study God’s Word and to pray for each other. We open and close our meetings with prayer, and we study God’s direction.

We seek out opportunities for prayerful support of ministries and seasons…we shower our congregation in prayer when specific needs arise. We thank God for his many blessings, his Love, and his Presence among us.
