New Testament Verse: Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him. Matthew 14:2931
Prayer: Gracious and righteous God, you deliver us from death and you keep our feet from stumbling. We walk in the land of the living only when we keep our focus on you. When distracted, we sink back into fear and reach for things that do not last. Lord, save us from ourselves. Amen.
