Food & fund donations collected in July and August
Outreach offerings collected in July will be designated to Hopelink

End Summer Hunger is Hopelink’s grassroots campaign that gathers the support of the local community to help provide low-income families with food for kids who receive free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches during the school year. Donations will benefit Hopelink’s Shoreline Center. In the Shoreline School District, 26.3% students stand to lose something most people take for granted:  a regular healthy and nutritious breakfast or lunch.  These kids can enroll in the free and reduced-price lunch program, but only if we can help!

During the months of July and August, the Outreach Team at First Lutheran is sponsoring a Food and Fund Drive to help feed children in our community. You are invited to bring nonperishable foods into worship to bring forward during processional offering or drop them off in the lobby during the week. You can also designate your cash donation for “Hopelink” on your giving envelope. Cash donations allow Hopelink to fill in the gaps so they are able to provide people with a balanced variety of foods. Get involved with the End Summer Hunger campaign and help Shoreline kids enjoy a healthy summer so they’re ready to learn when they go back to school in the fall.
